Meet your guides
With over 35 years of collective knitting and teaching experience, Lauren and Christine are ready to guide you back home to yourself and give you the confidence that you need on your creative journey.
Hi! I’m Lauren, I am honored to be one of your creative guides on the path of the heart retreat.
Back in 2016 I answered my heart’s calling and started on this journey of creative living.
I had no idea what was in store for me. But I knew I had to start.
It began with writing knitting patterns, then I picked up spinning, dyeing wool and teaching classes in a variety of fiber arts. In 2024 I graduated as an advanced meditation teacher and now I offer retreats, guiding others through the Wisdom of the Heart Practice, the same process that helped me to go from “I have a feeling I need to start making art” to fully living in embodiment of creativity and freedom of expression.
I have a deep relationship with the earth and the land that I live on. The earth is a constant and generous well of inspiration and companionship. I draw much inspiration from interactions with the flora and fauna around my home, I feel a connection with the fiber, the water, the farms of this place and the long lineage of people who’ve engaged with this craft each time a thread passes through my fingers. My work reflects my love of this place and I can’t wait to share it with you.

What Makes Path of the Heart Different.
This is not a retreat that asks you to produce anything, you come as you are and leave with what you need. Everyone’s path will be different.
This is not a prescribed project based class. YOU get to decide what you make and do here. We give you the materials, the theme, and the space, and you use it in the way that you most need in the moment.
If you want to spend the day napping, reading, taking walks on the beautiful land, laughing with friends, making, taking a sauna, or whatever, that’s all available for you.
You will leave feeling renewed in your connection to your craft, reconnected to the joy of making, with trust in your own creative voice, and the confidence in your skills to be able make anything your heart desires.
The Sacred Container:
The Path of the Heart is kept intentionally small.
With up to 15 participants, everyone will be a valued member of the community we create, and everyone will be able to have their voices heard in the circle.
This creative pilgrimage is held a the beautiful Red Clover Ranch in the Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin.
With 79 acres of woodland and pasture to wander, Beautiful lodgings, amazing fresh organic and local food (trust me, i’ve had the privilege of eating dani’s food many times), and amenities that will have you feeling so cared for.
Are you ready to hear your own voice again?
If you answered yes, come be on the Path of the Heart with us, and together we will walk each other home.
If you’ve been waiting for the permission to rest, if you know you have creativity inside of you and you need some guidance on how to bring it out, if your heart resonates with something here…
This path is calling you home.
“We are all just Walking each other Home”
