Path of The Heart

A Creative Journey Back to Yourself

A meditation and knitting retreat to Rest, be inspired and Reconnect to the Joy of Making.

A Creative Pilgrimage.

Path of the Heart is an intimate retreat for fiber artists who are ready to soften, slow down and return to the joy of their craft. Coming together not to make something prescribed, but to listen to and exercise their own creative muscle.

We will be your guides on this journey, helping you to come back to yourself with grace and compassion, encouraging you on the path, and giving gentle instruction to help you deepen your skills.

Come as you are, heart forward, heart broken, heart full, and we will meet you where you are.

You have to have Compassion for the voice of the Heart that has been lost or obscured; whether in other or yourself. People need spaces of their own in which they can find these stories, reclaim them... Learn the stories, Learn your own.
— Rev. Angel Kyodo Williams

This retreat is for you if you:

  • Love making, but have forgotten it along the way

  • Need time and Space to create without expectation

  • Believe in the power of rest

  • Miss the Joy of making for making sake

  • Have a song in your heart that wants to be sung

  • Want to be among kindred spirits who understand this creative life

What Makes Path of the Heart Different.

This is not a retreat that asks you to produce anything, you come as you are and leave with what you need. Everyone’s path will be different.

This is not a prescribed project based class. YOU get to decide what you make and do here. We give you the materials, the theme, and the space, and you use it in the way that you most need in the moment.

Everything is an invitation. If you want to spend the day napping, reading, taking walks on the beautiful land, laughing with friends, making, taking a sauna, or whatever, that’s available for you.

We will have scheduled classes for you deepen your skills, guided meditations to help you connect with your heart of making, songs, stitching circles, and more, but everything is optional, follow your heart.

Spiritual Friendship is not half the Path, it is the whole path.
— ShakYamuni Buddha. Upaddha Sutta. 45.2

There is Space here for you. To Rest, To heal, to listen to your heart and to be with what is.

What you’ll Leave with:

Participants will leave feeling renewed in their connection to their craft, reconnected to the joy of making, with trust in their own vision, a sense of calm and spaciousness, and a deep sense of interconnectedness to the land, creativity and community.

This retreat is about accessing what has been in your heart all along.

The Container:

The Path of the Heart is intentionally small.

With up to 15 participants, everyone will be a valued member of the community we create, and everyone will be able to have their voices heard in the circle.

This creative pilgrimage is held a the beautiful Red Clover Ranch in the Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin.

With 79 acres of woodland and pasture to wander, Beautiful lodgings, amazing fresh organic and local food (trust me, i’ve had the privilege of eating dani’s food many times), and amenities that will have you feeling so cared for.

From My heart to Yours,

If you’ve been waiting for permission to rest, if you know you have creativity inside of you and you need some guidance on how to bring it out, if your heart resonates with something here…

You are Warmly Invited.

Come be on the Path of the Heart with us,

and together we will walk each other home.
